Candle holder 2662 was designed by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn in 1952-53. During this period, he created several high candlesticks based on Estrid Ericson's thoughts that the table light should be high enough so as not to shine from below and cast an unflattering light. The candle holder in brass and lacquered metal is a variant of the Plexi candle holder, which in the original drawing was made of brass and glass.
