The candle holder in pewter with a stone, was designed by Josef Frank around 1950. When designing the candle holder, he had Estrid Ericsons thoughts about the light at the dining table in mind. During a radio interview in 1950, she commented that candle holders should be high, shining from above rather than below, so not to cast an unflattering light on the dinner guests.
